About Paul Drew of PD Decorating Services

I am Paul Drew, founder of PD Decorating Services, and I first entered the painting and decorating industry in 1980, when I took up employment as a Saturday boy for a high street chain of decorators’ merchants. Whilst there, I attended several training courses based at their own wall-covering manufacturing mills, where I gained both theory and practical knowledge of various wall-coverings, paint finishes, relevant materials, tools and equipment, etc.

In August 1981, I continued my interest in painting and decorating by pursuing work as a trainee painter and decorator with a reputable building company. I then progressed to a sole trader and pursued self employment, regularly working in conjunction with highly experienced practicing painters and decorators.

In 1995, I gained professional qualifications in all aspects of the trade at the renowned Hammersmith & West London Faculty of Building Studies including advanced City & Guilds certification and a Level of Excellence award.

With an excess of 30 years experience as a practicing painter and decorator, I also collaborate with a small but efficient team of fellow professional tradespeople with whom I undertake kitchen and bathroom refurbishment and minor property alterations. I have gained an extensive list of contacts and clientele, to whom I continually strive to provide the highest level of service and workmanship and who use my services time and again.

In 2012, PD Decorating Services was accepted for membership by the renowned Guild of Master Craftsmen. As its title suggests, only the best are accepted for membership and only when tradespeople and their businesses have succeeded the association’s highly vigorous and strict vetting procedures. Businesses must also demontrate credibility, legibility and professionalism at all times, as well as providing top quality  skills and workmanship throughout their practicing  crafts.

The profile for PD Decorating Services on the Guilds’ member’s site can be accessed directly by clicking here or on the Guild of Master Craftsmen logo on the right side bar.
